Colleen is originally from Germany and has lived in Winston-Salem since 2015. She became a professional hairstylist in 2008 and spent three years exclusively training and assisting other stylists. She always thought knowing how to cut hair would be a valuable skill, but after completing a two-week salon internship in the ninth grade, she knew it was also something she wanted to pursue as a career.

While Colleen absolutely loves the art of cutting hair, one of her favorite services is coloring hair—especially natural-looking color with dimension. She is partial to soft, blended styles regardless of the shade. Her favorite hairstyle depends on the person wearing it. Colleen likes giving her clients a look that lets them express themselves the way they want to while flattering their face shape and skin tone. She gets inspired by many different hairstylists, one of her favorites being Oribe Canales.

Colleen is a huge fan of Oribe products and especially likes Curl Control Silkening Creme because it's incredibly smoothing and feels almost nonexistent in the hair. Because of its smoothing properties, she uses it more often to get sleek blowouts, even though it's intended for natural curly looks.
