Alkali offers one-on-one coaching and has a thoughtfully designed leveling system so all employees have the opportunity for future advancement—including opportunities for providers to transition from behind the chair.

I love my job. I love that I get to say that and mean it. Starting my career a little later in life and spending time in booth rental taught me a lot, but joining Alkali has given me the freedom to truly discover who I am as a stylist. I started as an assistant and have grown into a senior stylist, and the organization here has been incredible. With a team handling my bookings, scheduling, and client management, I’ve had the space to focus on my artistry without all the distractions. It’s allowed me to fully explore my creativity and develop my skills, while still giving my clients the best possible experience. I love that I can focus on each individual in my chair and get to know them. It’s the best of both worlds—support and freedom!
Moving from Chicago as an established stylist with no local clientele was a daunting task, but Alkali Hair Studio provided me with the perfect platform to rebuild my business and elevate my craft. From the premium products used for all services to cutting-edge technology, every detail at Alkali speaks to its commitment to luxury and quality. This dedication extends to the stylists as well, with specialized training that has helped me grow professionally and achieve board certification as a colorist. When I started at Alkali it was a small but like-minded and tight knit team, and I'm proud to be part of this team that upholds such high standards as we’ve grown. .
Starting my career at Alkali has been such a blessing. I began as an assistant, learning directly from the owner, and have been supported every step of the way by the most wonderful team of stylists. The kindness, advice, and encouragement I’ve received daily have been invaluable. I’ve also had the opportunity to receive advanced training, both in the salon and through outside education, including specialized training out of state. This has helped me grow from an assistant to a junior stylist with confidence. I truly believe I’m ahead of where I could have been elsewhere, and I’m so grateful to everyone here that's been a part of my journey.
